Striking Ghosts is the one-person project of E. Davis, an alternative singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Reno, Nevada, "The Biggest Little City in the World." With Striking Ghosts, Davis makes acoustic and electronic rock that deals with being mixed, politics, relationships and, of course, love. Striking Ghosts has released 14 studio albums and 15 EPs, most recently Tick Tock, Tick Tock Too and The UnAmerican EP.
Growing up in the relatively small town of Reno and enduring bullying, discrimination and domestic abuse and violence, music became Davis' refuge, especially what he heard on the radio and MTV and read about in magazines like Rolling Stone and Smash Hits. He taught himself to play several different instruments and enjoys writing songs with themes that hopefully many people can relate to. Davis is influenced by many of his favorite artists from the 80's and 90's - Depeche Mode, Bruce Springsteen, Smashing Pumpkins, REM and NIN.
E. Davis writes songs with dark themes, poignant lyrics and addictive melodies which stand out in a world of vapid cookiecutter pop. He hopes people, especially those who feel like outsiders like himself, are inspired by his music, which mixes his Native American philosophies with his African and Anglo heritage to make something quite mysterious, charismatic and unique.
